Induction electric motors

AC induction motors are powered by alternating current that produces a rotating magnetic field. Their rotors contain copper or aluminum rods, and the stator windings contain copper wires.

Among the currently popular AC motors, the two most important groups are AC induction motors and synchronous motors with permanent magnets.
